Healing after trauma is about understanding how the trauma lives in your body and affects everything.

I’ve spent a decade meeting people during the worst moments of their lives and those experiences taught me that people are incredibly resilient but they need the right support to access that resilience.

I’m Stacey, and I’m dual-certified as both a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and an adult and geriatric nurse practitioner. I earned both certifications from Adelphi University and after working in inpatient and emergency room settings throughout New York City, I have a deep understanding of how to help someone in crisis. I’m also a certified sexual assault forensic examiner, which means I have extensive, specialized training in supporting survivors of sexual violence through some of the most difficult moments imaginable.

During the pandemic, I was part of the COVID outreach program within the NYC Health and Hospital system. Those were heavy days filled with loss, grief and uncertainty but they reinforced why this work matters. People need someone who can stay steady when everything feels overwhelming.

My specialties include geriatric psychiatry, trauma and PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. I work with patients 18 and older through both in-person and virtual appointments. What sets my approach apart is that I don’t just focus on your psychiatric symptoms in isolation. My dual certification means I understand how your mental health affects your physical health and vice versa, which is especially important for older adults managing multiple conditions.

I use an evidence-based, holistic approach while providing an empathetic and non-judgmental space for you to grow and heal. Whether you’re dealing with trauma from years ago that’s still affecting you today, navigating anxiety or depression, or trying to manage your mental health as you age, we’ll work together to formulate a treatment plan that fits your life. I offer both psychotherapy and medication management and we’ll figure out together what combination works best for your goals.

In my free time, I’m usually swimming, running or spending time with family – activities that keep me grounded and remind me to practice what I preach about taking care of both mental and physical health.

I’ve learned that healing happens when someone creates space for you to be honest about what you’re carrying, believes in your ability to recover and walks alongside you with patience and skill. If you’ve been through something difficult and you’re looking for someone who understands trauma deeply, or if you’re navigating mental health challenges as you age, I’m here to help. Real healing is possible, even after the hardest experiences.
