I’m Edith, and I’ve been doing this work for over 30 years. This means I’ve seen just about every mental health challenge you can imagine, worked across countless treatment settings, and learned what actually helps people feel better. I earned my Bachelor’s in Nursing from the College of Mount Saint Vincent and my Master’s from NYU, but my real education has come from showing up for patients year after year and creating the kind of environment where real healing can happen.<\/p>\n
My focus is psychiatric medication management, but that doesn’t mean our relationship is transactional. I take the time to explain different medication options, the pros and cons of each approach and I answer every question until you feel genuinely comfortable with the plan moving forward. Because if you don’t understand why you’re taking something or how it’s supposed to help, you’re a lot less likely to stick with it. And I want you to get better, not just leave my office with a prescription you’re confused about.<\/p>\n
I specialize in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, ADHD\/ADD, trauma, OCD, and personality disorders, but honestly, after this many years, I’m highly skilled at treating just about any mental health issue you might be facing. I work with adults and adolescents and I offer both in-person and remote sessions because I know people need flexibility.<\/p>\n
What patients tell me is that I make them feel at ease. Starting psychiatric care can be nerve-wracking and I get that. Maybe you’ve had experiences where you didn’t feel heard, or where someone rushed through your appointment without really listening. That’s not how I work. I create a warm, welcoming, non-judgmental and light-hearted environment where all parts of who you are and how you feel are welcome and accepted. I work thoughtfully with people from all backgrounds because everyone deserves quality care that improves life.<\/p>\n
