Greg is a board certified Advanced Practice Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse.

In 2012 Greg obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado College where he majored in Neuroscience and minored in Music. Throughout his career in mental health, Greg has continued to use music as a personal tool for relaxation, mindfulness, and self-care. In 2020 Greg attended Stony Brook University where he obtained his BS in Nursing and then went on to complete his Master of Science at Columbia University School of Nursing in New York City.

His clinical experience prior to joining the team at Inspire Mental Health was primarily working with adult and adolescent psychiatric populations in community clinic settings. As a Behavioral Health Technician and Crisis Intake Counselor at All Health Psychiatric Acute Treatment Unit, Greg coordinated mental health crisis evaluations and intake referrals for the psychiatric unit. At Woodhull Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Unit in NYC, Greg worked with a diverse population of adult psychiatric patients experiencing a wide range of psychiatric and psychological disorders.

While obtaining his Master’s Degree in Nursing, Greg held a Psychiatry Internship at the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services in Brooklyn and Queens. He worked with clients diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic episodes, PTSD, and substance use disorders.

Throughout his ten years of experience in the mental health field, Greg has maintained a holistic approach to his work with clients. For him, that means considering his clients’ biology, psychology, values, spirituality, and lived experiences when developing a treatment plan and when prescribing psychiatric medications. He aims to provide individualized, evidence-based care to each patient. Greg recognizes that some clients may be nervous about starting psychiatric medications and prefer to move through the process more slowly, while others are eager to get started. Greg works with his clients at the pace that is most comfortable for them, supporting them every step of the way.
