What is psychiatric medication management?
Anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma cause challenging symptoms that interfere with all aspects of your life. Psychiatric medications tailored to your individual needs help manage symptoms, stabilize mood, reduce anxiety, and improve overall functioning so you can feel like your normal self again.
If you’re…
Then IMHS can help.
Talk therapy is an important part of any mental wellness journey, but sometimes it isn’t enough. With the help of skilled prescribers managing your psychiatric medication, you can find relief.
Medications can also be prescribed in the absence of therapy.
Our compassionate clinicians are here to assess your individual circumstances, prescribe psychiatric medications as appropriate, and stay in close contact with your therapist to ensure safety and success in achieving the outcomes you deserve.
New York psychiatric services and medication management
Psychiatric services can often feel impersonal. Maybe you’ve experienced that in the past. IMHS is committed to providing a different type of experience. Our clinicians take the time to get to know who you are and what you’re going through. It’s our top priority that you feel like you’re working with an expert prescriber who is also a human being, taking your individual circumstances into account.
We won’t merely write a prescription and send you on your way. Rather, we will develop an individualized treatment plan that takes into account your history, your current symptoms, and all other medications you take, and then we conduct regular follow-ups to make sure you’re getting the best possible result.
Collaboration between providers is critical to a successful mental health treatment. We regularly check in with you and your therapist to see how you’re feeling on the medication, to discuss potential side effects, and to make adjustments as needed. We will not speak with your therapist unless you give consent for us to do so.
